Working in partnership, OPDC and Ealing Council are delivering improvements to make local public spaces more accessible, enjoyable and attractive for everyone.

OPDC and Ealing Council are working together in partnership to deliver exciting public realm improvements in North Acton, Park Royal and surrounding areas.

These projects are designed with the community at heart, in close consultation with local residents and businesses. They will deliver positive changes now to make local spaces more accessible, enjoyable and attractive for everyone, contributing to our wider development and design ambitions for the area.

These projects will:

  • Provide more accessible open green spaces for everyone
  • Collaborate with the local community, including underrepresented groups, to design more inclusive public spaces that reflect local needs and celebrate its identity and heritage
  • Encourage sustainable travel, making cycle ways and public footpaths safer, quicker, more pleasant and easier to use
  • Provide spaces for people of all ages to play, socialise and relax
  • Improve biodiversity through new landscaping, planting and trees

Park Royal Triangle site: we are revitalising the greenspace at the junction of Park Royal Road and Victoria Road. These improvements will include new landscaping and planting, making it a safer and more attractive welcome into North Acton.

Midland Terrace: we are refurbishing the Midland Terrace playground with new play equipment, improved green space, seating and planting for local people of all ages

Victoria Gardens and Cerebos Gardens: we are improving these green spaces for the whole community to enjoy. This includes painting the fencing, landscaping, planting and improving the entrances.

Wesley Playing Fields: we are working together with the community to deliver a series of improvements to make the park safer, more accessible and deliver new facilities. Working with underrepresented groups, including young girls, we are designing a park that is inclusive and welcoming for everyone.
