Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) and Ealing Council are working together to improve Wesley Playing Fields. Our proposals include wider paths, more planting, improved play areas and more visible and accessible entrances.
Thank you to everyone who attended the session on the 31st January and 4th February, we have left the information up in the playground and you can see the plans here.
Earthwatch will be planting some fruit trees in the fields on the 20th February, 10.30-1.30pm, you can drop in anytime. You can find out more information here.
Update on improvements
Since we last spoke to you we have been working on the final designs for the improvements to include your valuable feedback. We have also started the process to appoint a contractor to deliver the work, who will be appointed in the next couple of months. Once they are appointed we will write to the local community to let them know the next steps.
We anticipate that they will start construction in late Spring/early Summer.
You may have noticed that some works have started already including drainage at the back of the park, soil testing, removal of the four poplar trees overhanging the children’s playground and planting of some new trees.
