Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) and Ealing Council are working together to improve Wesley Playing Fields. Our proposals include wider paths, more planting, improved play areas and more visible and accessible entrances.

Thank you to everyone who attended the session on the 31st January and 4th February, we have left the information up in the playground and you can see the plans here.

Improvements update

Construction of Phase One of the park improvements will start in the week of 18th May 2026, with work expected to take up to 16 weeks to complete.

Our contractor, Blakedown Landscapes (SE) Ltd, will be on site working between 8.00am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. No noisy work will take place before 9am.

To carry out these works, we will need to close a large area of the park to ensure safety for all park users. This will mean that the north half of the park, including the playground and Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) will be out of use during the construction period.

The south half of the park will remain open for use throughout, including the existing gym equipment.

A map of the temporary closure is shown below.

While the playground and MUGA are closed, your nearest similar facilities can be found at Midland Terrace Playground and North Acton Playing Fields.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during the works.
