Ten successful projects will receive funding as part of the Open Call for Ideas for the Acton and Park Royal Creative Enterprise Zone (CEZ).
The ten projects are:
Park Royal Open Access Workshop (POW). POW will provide affordable access to specialist tools and equipment including wood and metal working, digital fabrication, textiles and more.
A LOOK INTO; delivering a programme of workshops on accessing the film industry and gaining tangible skills to secure work experience and employment
Bollo Brook Youth Centre; working with young people to produce a film about the area’s tea houses and creativity
MAMA Youth Project; joining forces with film studio, Garden Studios to deliver a digital media production training course for young people from underrepresented and challenging backgrounds.
Standard Road Market which will run a series of market events to promote Park Royal's amazing makers
Park Royal Nights which will run a series events giving opportunities for storytelling, poetry, music and inspiration within the community
The Park Royal Womens’ Group, run by Loom Projects, which will provide a safe space for women to gather, share, collaborate and support women who live and work in the area.
ARTification and Pati Starzykowski; engaging the community in the creation of two public art installations within the local area
Re'Festival. A series of pop-ups, events, talks and workshops to promote the circular economy and makers in Acton and Park Royal
Park Royal Design District; developing a central website to grow and build a directory of creative businesses, local events calendar, interactive map and creative research into a procurement platform
