Consultation has closed. Thanks to everyone who took part.
OPDC is consulting on a draft Validation Checklist which sets out the level of information needed to support a planning application. The checklist also includes guidance to explain when each document is required. The consultation takes place between 27 September 2022 and 8 November 2022.
Purpose of the Validation Checklist
As part of the requirements as the local planning authority for the Old Oak and Park Royal area, we are required to produce a Validation Checklist which outlines the documents to be submitted with a planning application.
Legislation and government guidance provides local planning authorities with advice on validation requirements. The guidance states that the local list must be:
reasonable, having regard in particular to the nature and scale of the proposed development
about a matter that it is reasonable to think will be a material consideration in the determination of the application
The local planning authority must consult on a draft local checklist and then formally publish the document having taken any representations into consideration. A copy of the checklist must be made available on the authority’s website and the list must then be reviewed every two years.
