In accordance with OPDC’s Statement of Community Involvement or 'SCI' (adopted June 2024), the consultation strategies for major pre-application proposals should be published on OPDC’s consultation platform prior to a planning application being submitted.
This is relevant for proposals comprising 50 or more residential units or more than 5,000sqm of non-residential floorspace, or other proposals which are likely to have a significant impact on the local community or generate significant local interest.
The relevant consultation strategies for live pre-apps are listed to the right of this page.
The OPDC SCI also sets out other guidance on the type and amount of engagement that should be undertaken to applicants at pre-application stage.
