Consultation closed at midnight 23 January 2023.
Hello, and welcome to OPDC's home for the draft Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule consultation that took place between 28 November 2022 to midnight 23 January 2023. The responses to the consultation can be found in the panel opposite.
Purpose of the Draft Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule
The CIL charging schedule is a locally set charge on new development which a local planning authority can choose to introduce. The levy is based on the size and type of development and once set, is mandatory to pay and non-negotiable. The funds raised would be used to deliver infrastructure which is required to support new development within the local area.
The proposed CIL rates in the draft Charging Schedule are based on the conclusions of OPDC's CIL Viability Assessment evidence document. Through this consultation, we want your views on the draft Charging Schedule and associated evidence base documents.
The consultation will be followed by an examination in public of the draft Charging Schedule, to be conducted by an independent examiner, prior to the proposed adoption of the CIL Charging Schedule.
