The application site is outlined in red on the map below. The site is located within North Acton, with the A40 Western Avenue to the west and Portal Way to the east. The site currently contains a Holiday Inn hotel.

Proposed development

The planning application is for:


Demolition of all existing buildings and structures and the mixed-use redevelopment of the site through:


  • Two buildings of ground-plus 43 and ground-plus 57 storeys, plus lower ground floor and basement levels, including 669 residential units (Use Class C3), 6,782 sqm GIA of hotel use (Use Class C1), and 733 sqm GIA of commercial, business and service use (Use Class E).
  • The application also comprises a podium level amenity space for residents, car and cycle parking, refuse and service areas, hard and soft landscaping, and public realm and highway works. The application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement.
