Consultation on proposals to improve North Acton's streets and spaces has closed.
Hello, and welcome to OPDC's and Ealing Council's home for finding out about proposed improvements to North Acton's streets and spaces.
Thank you to everyone who provided their views in March and spring 2022. You can find a summary of the March comments via the “View the March consultation materials and summary” link on this page and we'll be publishing a summary of the spring consultation comments in due course. While we're preparing the summary, you can find out more about the concept designs via the "View the spring consultation materials and summary" link on this page.
Our first consultation took place in March 2022 and our second consultation on the draft concept designs for public realm projects took place from 23 May to 17 June 2022.
What is the North Acton Public Realm Prospectus?
As North Acton changes, its streets and spaces need to be improved to make them enjoyable, connected, accessible and welcoming. Ealing Council and the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) have secured funding from local developers to improve the streets and spaces in and around North Acton. North Acton Station Square is the first in a series of these improvements.
To help to improve the street environment, we have identified 5 initial projects to be delivered in the next few years and a long-list of other projects. These projects will be set out in the North Acton Public Realm Prospectus.
The projects will be fully accessible and we want them to provide examples for best-practice inclusive design that everyone can use and enjoy. The projects will also be considered and designed to be adaptable, durable and resilient to be enjoyed by today’s and tomorrow’s users.
